Ginger Chien will speak on the state of corporate LGBTQ diversity efforts, how companies have taken on an advocacy role, and how inclusivity is both the hallmark of leading employers and the new landscape where they openly compete for talent. Included will be discussions of the business research that drives companies to increase diversity and transgender support. Ginger will share her personal experiences at AT&T, a company that has held a perfect 100 score since the HRC CEI introduced transgender criteria in 2004.
Ginger Chien is a TG advocate who works to build cross-community understanding and awareness of TG concerns through a variety of tools and settings. She is a Diversity & Inclusion Ambassador within AT&T as well as a cell phone engineer, a board member of the PFLAG Bellevue/Eastside chapter, a national advisory board member for Lesbians Who Tech, an open-mic storyteller in Seattle, conducts workshops in storytelling skills, emotional intelligence, and unconscious bias, and is one of several LGBTQ employees featured in AT&T image campaigns.
