Joyce Colson

I am an M-to-F legal trans woman who was originally born a virtual male in 1948. I served in Vietnam 1968-69, attended college, and worked for a school district for 28.5 years before retiring in 2001. I worked part time by owning my own computer repair business from 2001-2009. Since then I changed my business to editing, printing and publishing services. I was married for 32.5 years to a loving, caring angelic wife who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2005. Her death triggered my transition, finally allowing me to express my true self. I had kept Joyce buried and crushed into suffering silence and pseudo non-existence for too long. Since January 2006 I have been on female hormones, legally changed my name and gender, and had dual orchiectomy surgery.

Joyce's duties will include hosting tours, assisting at the Front Desk, and the Esprit Ascot on Tuesday night.

ESPRIT, ESPRIT GALA and ESPRIT 2010 relate only to the yearly transgender conference
held in Port Angeles, WA. The conference and organization is not associated or connected
with the global apparel company Esprit or its marks.
